Anxiety Reduction

Anxiety affects all aspects of our lives, sometimes growing into an unmanageable condition that seems to take on a life of its own.

It is often a result of reasonable triggers that have pushed built-in body defense mechanisms to unmanageable extremes.

To come out the other side of this twisted passage, we learn skills that enable us to view our own autonomic reactions with greater equanimity. We become more accepting and less condemning of our bodies' automatic attempts to protect us from our minds' imaginings and the world's terrors.

Paraphrasing Mark Twain, "I have spent most of my life worrying about things, 90% of which never happened." It's nice to know that intellectually, but to accept it on the level that our anxiety lives...that is another question; which is why mindfulness training can be so helpful.

You will get to develop and practice real-world skills that grow ever stronger. You will find that peace can blossom even through the shadow of your anxiety.
